Grammar checking comes to OpenOffice.org

One thing that MS Office has long had that the open source alternative OpenOffice.org didn’t has been a language checker. But that’s not the case anymore.

Thanks to LangiageTool, an open source language checker, you can now check the grammar in documents written in the OpeenOffice.org word processor. It does require Java 5, but that’s easy enough to take care of. Also it’s not a perfect solution, but for many of us it’s a welcome tool to add to our tool box.

Big thanks to Lord Illidan over in the Ubuntu Forums for letting me know this was available.
