You read that right. With seven days left before the release date you can now get Ubuntu 7.10, Gutsy Gibbon, is a Release Candidate (RC). What does that mean? It means it’s almost ready to be released, but they want to run a final round of testing before they open up the cage on the ape out of its cage. Read the rest of this entry »

Yesterday I posted that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer accused open source programmers of not respecting intellectual property rights, mentioning Red Hat Linux by name.
