Congrats to the Sox

Posted by BostonPeng on 29 October 2007

I was hoping to not have to post this, or at least not too soon, but congratulations to thye Boston Red Sox for beating the Colorado Rockies and becoming the 2007 World Series Champions.

The Sox swept the Rockies in four games, but the Rockies tried right to the last out. Sox closer John Pappelbom just showed class and said that the Rockies didn’t make things easy and kept on fighting.

Now if only my asshat neighbors didn’t feel compelled to shoot off fireworks at 12:08 am on a Monday morning. This is past of why I didn’t want the Sox in the series. People in Boston don’t know how to celebrate while keeping in mind that some people do actually have other things to do. Like sleep.

Of course we now get to see if the Sox will get a parade and not just a rally on City Hall Plaza. The Pats got parades, but when the Sox last won, the first time in 86 years, they only got a rally. They definitely deserve a parade, and not just because the Pats have always gotten one when they won the Super Bowl and the Sox didn’t get one last time they were the World Champions.
