Peng and I wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very safe and happy Thanksgiving. Regardless of where you live, we hope your day finds you with food you love, whether it’s a lot or a little, but most importantly we hope you can spend the day with friends, family, and other people you simply love spending time with.
After all, the real purpose of Thanksgiving isn’t just to be remember good things that have happened, but to be with people for conversation, laughter, and general good times. The extra food maybe a tradition, but I hope you’ll forgive me when I say that in some houses the food prep has gone to an extreme and has taken the enjoyment out of some people’s day. How on earth are you supposed to be thankful for that?

I’m doing some preliminary work on some new tees for my SecondLife store, mainly thinking about what the designs will be. One thing I realized is tat I have got to get some snowflakes for the designs, which I thought meant looking on the Widw Wide World of Web and finding artwork I could use.
Not any more, because Philip Newborough from Planet Ubuntu created some cool brushes for Gimp, including (wait for it) …
Snowflakes.

At the end of last month I went to MozillaZine’s forums to check on an issue with the Gmail Notifier extension after Google rolled out an update to one of my accounts, but I couldn’t log in for some weird reason. It turns out it was a known issue, and many people’s old accounts were lost. But there’s a solution if it happened to you. Read the rest of this entry »
