2008 is almost here!

One of the sites I mentioned on my old blog was a way to see the countdown to the start of the new year in cities all over the world. It took me some hunting, but I found it and wanted to share it with everyone on this blog.

New Year countdown around the world (2008) is a nice Java applet that lets you pick from a host of cities all around the world and see when the new year will start in that city. In you have issues with running Java you can also use their non-Java version, but I definitely prefer the Java version.

As I write this there’s just under 15 and a half hours to 2008 for my friends in Brussels, Paris, Madrid, and Berlin, while my friends in England have just under 16 and a half hours to go.
