SecondLife 1.19.0.x is no longer an RC

Last evening LindenLabs finally took the 1.19.0.4 client that many of us have been sing in Release Candidate form for some time now and gave it an official release. There are some nice fixes, but they have definitely published some changes that are pissing people off. (I would have blogged it last night but the announcement was kind of buried on the blog and I didn’t see it until I fired up Thunderbird to check my RSS feeds this morning.)
To add insult to injury, there were some security issues in the 1.19.0.4 release, so they quickly pushed out version 1.19.0.5 to fix them, as well as some annoying issues from early RC versions that hadn’t gotten fixed yet. Read the rest of this entry »
