Torley rolls out QuickTips

Torley Linden does some great Tips of the Week for SecondLife, but they’re often pretty long (I’ve seen some six minute longs tips) or end up leaving something out. To address that Torley has rolled out a dozen of QuickTips. At no more than two minutes in length, they’re a great way to give a quick hit on how to do something cool in SL.
The twelve QuickTips may be old hat for those of us who have been in SecondLife a few months, but there were two that had information I didn’t know. (I’ve been on SL since July of last year.) The QuickTip he embedded into the blog post on zooming in and out showed what happens when you press Ctrl-8 too many times. It’s totally useless, but a cool effect nonetheless. In his QuickTip on advanced movement controls he points out that the spacebar slows your movement down, another trick I didn’t know existed.
As always, you can view them online or download high quality versions of the tips to refer back to whenever you need to, and of course the high quality versions can also be played on your video iPod (although I’ll keep my opinion on on that tech toy to myself for this post). I’ve saved a few of the tips to my hard drive because I know I’ll forget how to do something.
And yes, Virginia, there will be a regular Tip of the Week coming tomorrow, although Torley hadn’t given us a hint of what it will be on.
