Russel T. Davies is leaving the Doctor

Posted by Nanci Barthelmess on 20 May 2008

I just saw a story on SciFi Wire that took me by surprise. Russel T. Davies is leaving the BBC hit Dorctor Who (the current season is available in the US on the SciFi Channel). But the person taking his place? I love his work. Read the rest of this entry »

Peng’s links for Tuesay, 20 May 2008

Posted by Peng on 20 May 2008

Nanci pointed out that we come across a number of stories each day on the wide wide world of web but don’t blog them because we’re not sure we can do them justice. I do share them through Google Reader, but I’ll try to start making sure one of us do a post of some of those links more days than not. Here is today’s list.

  • Cute Overload: You CAN’T HANDLE the MEWS. I know, its cute and kind of cheesy, but this has got to be one of the most adorable Scottish Fold kittehs evah to get on the web. It’s even more adorable than these Cheezburger kittehs.
  • LA Times: Blake DeWitt’s single drives in winner in ninth for Dodgers. yes, a baseball story. But after dropping the Freeway Series to the Angels over the weekend it was not only good to see the win, but a Blake DeWitt walk-off single? Damn we need to tie that boy up for a long time.
  • Planet Mozilla: No Secret Data Project. Robert Accettura writes about the misconceptions and truths about Mozilla’s data collection.
  • Planet Ubuntu: I Want Interwebs! :( . Poor Mackenzie Morgan is having Comcast issues in her new diggs.
  • WBZ-TV: Inside Google Cambridge. A nice slideshow tour of the Google offices in Cambridge, MA. I almost want to work there as much as I’d like to work here.

WOW!

Posted by Nanci Barthelmess on 20 May 2008

When Peng and I started this blog we had a good idea of what we’d be covering but we didn’t expect to get a whole lot of traffic. Every now and then Peng’s old blog would have a traffic spike but it wouldn’t last that long, but we’ve been getting more traffic than we expected, including yesterday’s record breaking traffic.
