A little news from SecondLife
Posted by Nanci Barthelmess on 2 June 2008
I came across some important info from SecondLife and wanted to pass it along to those of you who don’t keep up with the blogs.
The good people at SecondLife posted a new Knowledge Base Tip of the Week on Friday (which I mean to post sooner. Sorry!). This week they pulled in a bunch of information about managing your inventory, including some of Torley’s video tips, and combined it into a single place. I’m going to have to go through them again just to make sure I got all of their recommendations.
For those of you who have OnRez (formally SL Boutique) vendors, or anyone who buys things from them, they’re changing their inworld support hours to Monday through Fried-day 7:00 -8:00 am and 1:00 to 2:00 PM SLT. You’ll have to do the math to see what that means in your time zone, but for those of you on America’s eastern seaboard (and all those who share our time zone) that means 10:00 to 11:00 am and 4:00 to 5:00 pm. Hopefully that will help you get to their support sim more easily.
Speaking of OnRez, shop.onrez.com will be offline from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Eastern Time (12:00 noon to 2:00 pm SLT). They need to do some infrastructure maintenance, but the good news is they’re not putting any new code so once they get back online all of our stores and vendors should work without a hitch. Other than the usual SL silliness, that is.
For one final bit of news, the devs at LindenLabs a new “Inside the Lab” podcast about educational opportunities in SecondLife. You can download the podcast or read the transcript or both on the SL blog.
Have a great rest of your Monday. And always be careful with your meds.
