Peng’s links for Monday, 2 June
Posted by Peng on 2 June 2008
The day is only a few hours old and the week is getting off to a lovely start. Not! I ended up oversleeping by an hour and my todo list is already getting way too filled up so this is turning into one hell of a Moan-day. But I definitely have some links I want to pass along from today’s news feeds.
- Anthony Hughes/Planet Mozilla: Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. A look at the state of Ubuntu since the SSH key issue. But I love his last line.
- Og Maciel/Planet Ubuntu: Let My Love Open the Door. A post that has nothing really to do with Ubuntu but a wonderful post for his wife. Awwww.
- Jad Madi/Planet Ubuntu: Simple Real Media Converter. If you need to convert Real media (ra, rm, ram) to MP3 format you can use LAME, or you can use this easy to use graphical front end.
- Ubuntu Forums: IDEA: Replace Rhythmbox with Banshee for Intrepid Ibex. Ok, it’s not an article, but an intriguing suggestion for making Banshee the default media player in Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex. It got me checking out Banshee again, although I seem to be stuck figuring out how to get it to see my music collection. You don’t have to register to follow the discussion, only to participate in it.
Adorable Feline Pic of the Day
Had I posted links yesterday I would have brought a little Robert John to the blog, or perhaps a little customer anger. But today brought a print error that I was this close to sharing. But this little cutie was just too adorable to keep to myself.
I hope your Moan-day is better than mine is shaping up to be.
