Peng’s links for Tuesday, 15 July

  • Jordan Mantha: The new and improved Ubuntu QA. There’s a new QA team in town, pardner. And they’re looking to kick some bug butt.
  • Launchpad News: Help test Launchpad’s new UI. Mozilla’s not the one rolling out a redesigned website. Ubuntu’s bug tracking site is changing the UI and if you care about how usable the new Launchpad is pop on over to the sandbox and make sure things don’t change for the worst. I know I’ll be bringing my shovel and bucket over there before long. I sure don’t want there to be an AMO-type debacle on Launchpad.
  • Softpedia News: Ubuntu 8.10 Aplha 2 Screenshot Tour. Almost two weeks ago I posted about a screenshot tour of Ubuntu Intrepid. Now that Alpha 2 has come out the good folks at Softpedia have an updated tour. Thanks to sharks on the Ubuntu Forums for posting the link.
  • Craig A Eddy: EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT! It’s not an attack of CapLock-itis, it’s the 100th issue of the Ubuntu Weekly Newsletter, coming out this coming Sunday. And it’s not just a newsletter, but a podcast to boot.
  • Danny Piccirillo: Tell Dell to Put Ubuntu in Retail Stores. Should you really have to go to Dell’s website to get an Ubuntu-powered Dell? We don’t think so either.
