If you need a source for new desktop wallpaper…
Posted by Peng on 5 September 2008
Yesterday Planet Mozilla’s Frédéric Wenzel posted a wallpaper picture that he says was too cool not to pass along.
“Ceci n’est pas le fond d’écran officiel de Firefox / This Is Not The Official Firefox Background Picture”
The image is one of many pictures by Canadian photographer Denis-Carl Robidoux has posted to his website. The truly amazing thing is that just about every day he posts a new picture, and every single one of them are in ten different sizes for use as desktop wallpaper. The cost? Zaro.
I’ve already grabbed 24 different wallpaper images, and I’ve only gone back ten pages of his posts. I may even try to turn one or two into Ubuntu wallpapers, but I’m definitely going to use at least one of them when I post my September desktop screenshot to the Ubuntu Forums. You can subscribe to an RSS feed thanks to his Flickr page. He says he will make a link to his feeds easier to get to on his site itself, but it will take him a few days to make the change to his site software.

Thanks for the link, just thought I should mention to you/remind you of http://mandolux.com which has a similarly-gorgeous array of desktop backgrounds (including wallpapers for 2-, 3- and 4-monitor(!) configurations) in a similarly-bewildering array of sizes.
Thanks from a regular reader,
Carl.
