With the start of Spring today I am thrilled to be able to announce that Penguin Gear, my online shop for tees, bags and other goodies is now open! Spreadshirt is my online partner, and I think you’ll find the quality, selection, price and service much better than you’ll find from Cafe Press. I do know that my store can use some nicer graphics but time to do create graphics is limited and I didn’t want to delay opening the store any longer than necessary.
I only have three designs available so far, but I have a nice selection of tees, bags, and other goodies available for purchase with three of my designs:
I have some other designs already created, but I’m not putting them on items for now. If you would like me to put one of the current designs on a different item that Spreadshirt sells please let me know in the comments and I’ll see what I can do to honor your request.
Visit Penguin Gear today and see what tees and bags you want for your wardrobe!

I’ve just about gotten the first batch of tees, jackets, bags and other goodies ready for my online T-shirt shop for it to be reopened. I still have some products needing copy and tags written, but mostly I need to create a new logo for the shop.
I’m leaning toward calling the shop, or at least the items in it, Penguin Gear, but until I can get back to a computer to boot from my flash drive I won’t be able to work on a logo. I’ve got some ideas brewing in the old noggin and I look forward to getting them into pixels so everyone can see what things they want to buy.
There are three designs that will go on items when I reopen the store, hopefully late this weekend:

I do have another couple of designs available to put on tees and such but I’m just starting out with these three designs. You can still give me an assist by voting in my polls to let me know which types of things I should stock in my store. As of now the polls are all gathering dust so any opinions y’all would like to share would be greatly appreciated.
Tomorrow is the Special Municipal Election for Boston’s District 7, which will decide whether Tito Jackson or Cornell Mills will take the Boston City Council held by Chuch Turner before his conviction.
As I voted in the primary election a month ago I heard people complaining that Mr.Turner didn’t get a fair trial, but there’s one thing I’m going to ask everyone to remember: Your views about Mr. Turner’s trial no longer matters. The City Council voted to remove him from their number and for the time being there is nobody representing the 7th District on the City Council. If we’re going to have someone representing our interests that someone will have to win tomorrow’s ballot.
In the preliminary voting last month only 7% of registered voters showed up to cast their vote. I know it’s a single race and people in the 7th District are a mere fraction of people in the entire city of Boston, but that’s a poor excuse for not casting a ballot in a City Council election.
As I’ve said many times before, decisions are made by those who show up. I honestly don’t care whether people think Mr. Tuner got a fair trial or was the victim of an attack by the prosecutor’s office, because tomorrow none of that matters one damn bit. What does matter? Showing up at your polling place to cast your vote. Please put aside your feelings for Mr. Turner for one day and do your duty, the duty that people in Libya wish they had: The duty to show up and cast a ballot for someone to fill an empty seat on the Boston City Council. People in Africa and the Middle East are dying trying to get the ability to cast a vote. Please show that you deserve that right by making time in your busy Tuesday to goto your polling place and cast your vote. If you don’t know if you should vote tomorrow or where your polling place is you can find out at the Boston Election Department’s Voter Registration & Polling Location Search page.
Thank you.
With Spring right around the corner I’m working on reopening my online t-shirt store. I only have a couple of designs available for now, but I wanted to get some opinions on what types of things I should out my Cancer SUCKS design on. My online shirt partner is Spreadshirt, a company I have been nothing if not happy with using. That’s something I can’t say about Cafe Press, and I’m glad to have found Spreadshirt. The only real problem is that there are a lot of possibilities of things to put them on so I wanted to ask our readers what types of things I should create.
I’ll break down the poll between men’s, women’s (and junior’s) items and other items. You should be able to see info on all of the items, as well as some items I’m not thinking of on this page on the Spreadshirt website. If you see an item on the Spreadshirt site that I haven’t suggested please let me know in the comments.
